The Greyfriars Vineyard on the Hog's Back near Guildford was originally set up in 1989 and was one of the first in England to plant the traditional Champagne grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier). Greyfriars' aim is not just to produce a Champagne ‘copy’ but rather to create a small range of great sparkling wines which reflects the unique geology, soil conditions, climate and heritage of the wonderful landscape of the Surrey North Downs.
The Cuvée is fresh and fruity, soft and dry with intense lemon, apple and mineral flavours. The crisp finish makes it a perfect aperitif and equally a great wine pairing with light fish dishes or any type of seafood. 75cl, 12% vol.
The Rosé is a delicate pale colour, with aromas of summer berries and a fresh fruity palate. 75cl, 11.5% vol.
